Bobby Pierce: The Present And Future Of Dirt Track Racing

Posted by Shannon Bolin on

Bobby Pierce has surged up the late model ranks, to be one of the best drivers in the country, at the young age of 20. Leading the path for the next generation, Pierce has already left a huge mark on the sport of Dirt Track Racing and it's been a positive mark.

So far in his career, the Illinois native has competed in and won some of the most prestigious and hard to win events in late model racing. The most notable of those victories has to be the 2016 World 100 at Eldora Speedway, where he took home the globe and put his name in the conversation with the best ever in the history of the event.

Other career accomplishments that stand out for the Smooth Operator are three UMP Summer National titles, one of the hardest months in all of racing. The young star has taken the motorsports world by storm, winning on many different levels, in many different divisions. Bobby even has tried his hand at the NASCAR ranks, competing in a handful of Camping World Truck Series events. The highlight of his time at this level has to be the 2015 Eldora Speedway Dirt Derby, where he battled Christopher Bell down the wire, coming up just short of the win. In 2016, after leading most of the event, Pierce suffered issues with his truck and finished outside the top 10. This season, he charged from the LCQ to a top 10 finish.

So far in 2017, Bobby Pierce has added 13 feature wins to his resume, including the $30,000 to win Show-Me 100. Along with winning on what seems like a regular basis, the 20-year-old star has finished inside the top five and ten more than ever before, becoming one of the most complete drivers in the sport.

As Dirt Track Racing looks for the next face of the sport or next star, look no further than Bobby Pierce. He could go down as one of the best to ever do it, but we can guarantee you he's the present and the future of Dirt Track Racing.
